Spring has sprung ( the warmest, "no snow" spring in 75 years! ) and summer is a-knocking! Who is complaining about Buffalo weather?

And we all know what the imminent start of summer brings.....

LOBSTERFEST!    And to that end, Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting this Friday at 1:30 pm (after regular lunch) at the Protocol for Lobsterfest.  We will focus on three key areas: Ticket Sales (Peter Wolfe), Banners (Kevin Petho) and the Auction Raffle (Sam Lemke).  We will also, hopefully with the nudge of yours truly, be running a LobsterLotto again after a year off. Remember all the 'dough' that club members won! Anyone who has input is welcome to attend!

To Mr.Culligan, sorry we didnt build in a car show this year. 2011? I think Tom really wants to show off some of his old, and beautiful, iron! A lobster feast and exotic cars? Hmm? It might have merit!

Also, summer means barbeque's like the one being held by the Clarence Hollow Association on May 31st at 10405 Main Street in Town Park pavilion. There will be a chinese auction, kids stufff, face painting, and FOOD! Activities start at noon, right after the Memorial Day Parade. Chicken dinners are $8 ( obviously no lobsters! ) and there are $2 hot dog meals for the kids.

Sounds like a good time, and an appropriate celebration to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for your freedoms, so you can have town park chicken dinners in a peaceful, celubrious atmoshpere. NEVER FORGET! If you meet a Vet, please always thank them for their service. If he or she left buddies behind, it will make them feel easier about it.

Enjoy this beautiful month of May!

Yours in Rotary,

G. Chaas
